How do I get started?First things first, get in touch! Are you a new client? Fill out the contact form! If we service your area, we will then set up a meet and greet. Are you already part of the DDS pack? Request the dates and services you need right on the Pet Pocketbook Portal!
-
Do you offer overnights? We no longer offer in-home overnight care, but instead offer Vacation Care, a combination of multiple visits throughout the day to keep your pup happy and socialized! We will discuss your pet's specific needs and create a plan catered to them. Don't want your dog to sleep home alone at night? I have a list of other pet sitters in the area who offer that service!
-
Are you insured?Devon's Dog Sitting is completely insured and bonded through Pet Sitter's Associates!
-
What areas do you serve? We currently serve a 6 mile radius from Downtown Dover, New Hampshire, including Somersworth, Madbury, South Berwick, and Rollinsford.
-
How far in advance do you schedule? With our new Vacation Care service, we are able to serve many more pups than we could before! Please try to schedule your vacation care at least three months ahead of time to be sure we can get you in.
-
What kinds of pets do you care for?Predominantly dogs and cats, but other pets and critters can be added as additional services to any stay or drop in as long as enough specific care information is provided.
-
Are there cancelation fees?Cancelation fees are new to Devon's Dog Sitting, but an important step for the business. When you book with us, your pet care provider will block out the appropriate time in their schedule to provide the best care for your dog. If you last minute cancel, those are lost wages for your sitter. Of course, fees will be waived in the case of emergencies at the discretion of DDS. The full cancelation policy can be found in your contract.

Why should I hire a professional dog sitter when my neighbor's high schooler will do it for half the price?Listen, we all gotta start somewhere! If that high schooler is passionate about pets, reliable, trustworthy, and has the time your pet requires, then by all means, follow your heart. But if you are serious about the level of pet care you would like to provide your pet, then a professional is the way to go. We are licensed, bonded, experienced, and come with five years of five-star reviews from happy clients. We are also well equipped to handle emergencies, continue our professional and educational development at all times, and require a service contract to be signed that will protect both parties.
